Christmas
I had a really great Christmas. The best in a long time. Mora and Masood stayed at my place last Friday night so they could go to a Celtic's game in Boston. Saturday, Mora got a tattoo in Portland (very exciting :D). Then we had dinner at a little funky place called Silly's that had lots of interesting food (vegan, etc). I highly recommend it to people. Then we all drove up to Waterville. Mom, Mora, and I had a spa night of toenail painting and facials. It was nice. I got to spend a lot of time with Mora. I had Christmas morning at home in Waterville with the girls. It was sweet. I love Christmas. I love stockings, carols, and especially Christmas trees. It's really nice to get to see family and friends. The month before Christmas is stressful b/c stores are packed and I hate worrying about gifts but it went alright. After the morning was done, Chris came over and we did presents together. Then all 4 of us (Mora/Masood included) went to my Grandma Mary's house for Christmas with dad's people. I was afraid it would be really sad because it was the first Christmas any of us have had without Grandma Mary. However, it was really okay. I mean, it was a little different but it was really nice to get together. We had some great food, and there was a huge Christmas tree and lots of family that I love.
I got some awesome gifts for Christmas.
Some of the highlights were:
-A Nikon 35mm Camera (Dad said it's professional equipment. I am very excited to start using it. My dad really knows his shit about cameras. He's been into photography for as long as I can remember)
-A Zune
-A Scanner/Printer/Copy machine
-Sex and the City (the rest of the entire season)
I feel very lucky. Now I can do a lot more with the photography and get more serious about it. Chris and I are still planning to set up a darkroom in our apartment. So I'll be able to develop the film and then scan it on the computer if I want to work on it.
I've been going to the gym a lot so the zune will be really great for that (as soon as I figure out how to load it).
I think I got people really great gifts as well and I know they were very happy with them. I ended up getting Chris monitor speakers for recording, bean boots, and the most recent looney tunes boxset. I got mom "Little Miss Sunshine." People seemed really happy with their gifts.
I really wanted to make fudge for people, but then I got all overwhelmed with shopping/work and I thought I'd really screw it up so Chris made it. It was sweet of him.
I also went to the Planet Fitness twice while I was in Waterville and I discovered the massage chairs. They are awesome.
So, overall it was a great break from work and everything.
