one of my favorite books of all time is ‘redeeming love’ by francine rivers. it tells the story of a woman who was forced into prostitution in the old west. a godly man sees her one day and god tells him to marry her. it is sort of a retelling of the book of Hosea, where god tells Hosea to marry an unfaithful woman to tell a story to the israelites. in this book, the woman goes through a lot, bitter as she is from her life, and finally succumbs to love and freedom. its such a great lovestory on so many levels. thinking about it, i could see maybe kiera knightly playing the part pretty well, or kate winslet-both could convey the tough-as-nails, wounded woman, as well as the unfolding of her heart.
