So The Boyfriend left for some kind of advanced summer program on Sunday and won't be back for about a month.  I'm very happy for him, since it means he'll have a chance to display his glorious brilliance in a whole different state for awhile, but it's my birthday tomorrow, so his timing sucks.  Bleh.  That said, he did take me out for a lovely

Well, I guess I'll have to wait and see if The Boys (Lil Brudder and the Ambiguously Gay Duo) want to do anything before I go about planning anything too girly, but the point is well taken. And don't knock us May Geminis. We're a special and selective breed, but if it makes you feel better, Lil Sis is a proper June Gemini. :)

I'm in a very similar situation - my (21st) birthday is in a couple weeks, and I'll be totally alone, my boyfriend having gotten an internship and my best friend moving across the country. My plans are to completely bypass the whole birthday thing, and threaten anyone who reminds me of its existence with a painful, bitter bludgeoning. Perhaps you can use your new tome to execute the act!

That sounds like a good plan, but of course, that would mean I'd have to lick the blood off of it afterwards to preserve the lovely Dave McKean artwork, but that might be a small price to pay, all things considered.

Yeah, maybe. I don't really have any particular plans, but then again, life's been pretty hectic for me. Seems silly for you to come up just to hang out, but next time you plan to be in the area, let me know.
