I hate that I even have to make an entry about this because I thought it was clear, but apparently it isn't. In the last month or so I've noticed that people have either not been crediting when they snag my icons, editing them or claiming them as your own. I actually found out earlier today that someone took my icons and asked their friend to alter them.
I love making icons. It's a great hobbie and I'd love to continue doing it. However, if this keeps up I won't post them anymore. It's not like I'm dying for people to acknowledge that these are my icons, I'm not vain. It takes me a lot of time to create a batch of icons, I put a lot of work into it and having someone edit/claim them as their own/not credit at all is disrespectful.
So, I'm gonna state the rules of this community once again and if these problems persist I'm gonna have to stop posting all together.
RULES
1. Comment when taking an icon or any other form of artwork.
2. Credit either watered_faith or hotforjames when using any icons or any other forms of art.
3. DO NOT HOTLINK!!! It runs out my bandwidth, and then I won't be a very happy person.
4. Do not alter or claim any artwork you find here as your own. Textless icons or banners/headers are not bases for you to work with.
5. Do not post anything you find here on Xanga or any other website without permission.
