A day of brewing and bottling.

Bottled 10 galleons of mead. White sage honey with cherry puree and a plain mead with honey from Madison, WI. They are both looking and tasting beautiful. Also decided that since a lot of this will be consumed by a group rather than just me that I would bottle it in wine bottles instead of beer bottles. The $4.50 corker is actually a very nice little hand corker and is highly recommended. After using it I totally see why it was recommended over the $30 corker - although if I was going to be doing a lot he did suggest the $60-200 range bench corkers (yeah right).

Made up two fruit wines to try them out. I have a pomegranate/lemon and a orange/peach/mango that are in 1 galleon carboys. I figure that while I have enough mead for another batch that I don't want to move a full 5 galleon carboy to the new place. Yet I figure that the 1 galleons are easy enough to lug around.
