We all do things to make us happy I guess
Right now there is a pond in the back yard FULL of duck weed. So I found it a mission in the last few weeks to RESCUE some ducks and clean the pond out, which will help the remaining fish. Isn't mother nature wonderful, I mean everyone needs everyone to survive.
I kept posting on FB for some rescues, seems ducks aren't much out there.
Well found some ducks today, teenagers. Five, bought them out of a LIVESTOCK trailer in over 100 degree F weather, got 5 - all he had. (trust me, they are cheap and I only used the coins out of my coin jar).
Released them into the pond - it was obvious they never saw a pond. Took a bit, all five finally got the program. It was amazing to watch if you enjoy that sort of thing. 2 boys 3 girls.
I think I sat there 3 hours and just watched. They are definitely happy and ate and ate and ate!!
Well worth the change in my change cup!! Next I'm gonna save for a bag of corn as back up.
OH yea - doggies did get pig ears.... 8^)
