So BSG this week made me a hell of a lot happier than I thought it would. Of course, the circumstances were not so great, but IT'S SOMETHING.
I had a TextEdit document open during the show and was taking little notes as it went along, so most of these thoughts are going to be quick and goofy.
If Chief's fat lazy ass saves the day, I am going to laugh hysterically. GO CHIEF GO! Okay, so he's not really Chief anymore, and he's pissed me off a lot lately, but still.
OH MY GOD ZAREK did something totally predictable. How edgy and original and cool. And Sparky, you are a tard for not seeing that coming.
SAM! NO! :(
Oh christ, Kara crying is...they are killing me. If they kill off one of the only people I still care about, I will be immensely sad.
Prediction: Felix is going to blow his brains out before the end of the episode. (Okay, I was so wrong, but I'm not entirely surprised he died anyway.)
Awww at Adama and Tigh meeting again! Adama was shocked to realize that when Tigh said "as you wish". what he really meant was "I love you". The guy!love between those two is surprisingly sweet.
Now this is the Roslin I remember, kicking ass and taking names and refusing to back down.
They are honestly doing a horrible job of showing the passage of time besides the little scroll at the bottom. Which I'm not paying attention to because it's only up for like a second.
FUCKING SHOW KARA AND SAM AGAIN, PLZ.
(They never did show Kara and Sam again. :( )
AND TYROL DOES SAVE THE DAY. Oh, your fat lazy ass won a few more points back with me, Tyrol.
Okay, and post-ep reactions, now that things have had a chance to sink in-
Y'ALL, "I'm not leaving you here to die!" IS TOTALLY THE NEW "true love is promising not to kill yourself"! KARA AND SAM, Y'ALL. She really does love him, despite all the shit they've been through. And that was the way I personally preferred to think of their relationship, but dude, now it's actually canon. (Shipping canon is so beyond fun sometimes) She camped in the middle of the hallway and was bound and determined to PROTECT HIM. Unsurprisingly, I love it when women are the protectors, especially in situations like this. And it was such a very Kara-way to show that she loved him, too. She's not fluffy and schmoopy, she's this. And that's part of why she's awesome.
Romo's "fuck this, fuck y'all, I'm out" at the trial was awesome, as was his "oh fuck...fine, I'll help you" to Kara in the hallway.
Caprica and Hera bonding was great. I loved how she took care of Hera all auntie-like while Athena was attending to Helo or kicking ass. The Cylons continue to win my heart.
Racetrack laughing and joking with Zarek made me saaaaaaaaad. :( Track, why'd you do it? Especially now that you're probably gonna get airlocked? I liked you.
So, Zarek has pretty much always rubbed me the wrong way and I kind of hate him. So I'm not sad he's dead and I'm pretty glad I don't have to see him again. Gaeta...makes me sad. I didn't like the two-dimensional cutout that started the revolution, but I liked what the character used to be.
Best parts of the episode were Kara dragging Sam off and Mom owning everybody. I hope Sam doesn't die, and I wanna throttle 'em for leaving it like that, but. I am vaguely annoyed at RDM and co, because I didn't want to care this much about the show, but they managed to hit the exact perfect note for one of the only couples I still care about. *shakes fist*
Next week? I'm
cautiously optimistic. (I'm more Gabe than Tycho in that strip, though, but it's still funny.)
