I need to start a geek club around here. Way too many geeks, not enough unity. But that's the thing about geeks: we are generally loners. We leave it up to our cooler, hipper, more sociable friends to drag us out into daylight. This often leads to "What, we're going where?" Syndrome and results in not having a good time, which in turn results in further isolation.
I'd love to get together some people who play WoW or video games in general, really. I spend far too much time playing games by myself. It is thoroughly unsatisfying. (Insert TWSS here.) This morning I yelled at my DS for a good 15 minutes about the mastodon who kept crushing me with its shadow footsteps. I'd like to replace the DS with an actual person. My DS can only take so much emotional abuse. A human being, on the other hand, I could abuse all day. Wait... what was that my therapist told me? Meh.
Today I went to Albertson's-turned-Publix. Publix bought Albertson's, which I got really happy about because Albertson's sucked. Anyway. I bought breakfast and lunch for the rest of the week for $21.25. Budget ftw. The best thing I think I ever learned about advertising is that when a sign reads, for example: 2 for $5, that does not mean you must buy two to get the deal! It means one is only $2.50. I wanted to make brownies and saw in the paper that you could get 10 boxes of brownies for $10. Of course, what that really means is that one box is a dollar. Neat trick, huh?
I went to go tear the Japanese instructions off the box of brownies, but there were none. It was weird.
I bought tickets to Rifftrax Live on October 8th, but so far it looks like I'm going alone. Sigh. Must guilt someone into going...
Wah! Stuff to do, places to go!
