Have I Got a Collection for You

Teehee... It's actually a catalog for wooden picture frames. That still doesn't make it any less funny. I'm such a child, really.

Japan takes its love of sushi to the extreme. Celebrate your next birthday with a sushi cake!

And, just because I really like this picture, here's the magic bean in the making. I'm still on the hunt for pipe cleaners as my local 100 yen store doesn't have any.

As of today, I'm going to try to post at least one picture every day until I leave Japan. Even if I'm not near a computer, hopefully I can use my phone to take a picture and post here via email (my God, Japanese cell phones rock. I will really miss the awesome things you can do with a cell phone here.) I got the idea from a passing mention of a photo project by otaku_freak_16. Let's see if I can keep up with this. I think it'll be a great thing because I usually tend to wait until I gather whole bunch of photos before posting them, but then get overwhelmed by the sheer multitude of pictures I have and end up simply archiving them on my computer. And what good are they doing anyone there?

U2's new album, "No Line on the Horizon" came out yesterday and I am hooked! I love every track on here. Bono continues to look like an idiot in concert, though. He is self-consciously cool. But I forgive him because he is just so wonderful. Probably my favorite track right now is I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight. I've always loved Bono's way of making sentences that don't make sense seem like they do.

Today was my last day with the 3rd years at Kuroiwa. Sadness. We played Family Feud, though, and it was brilliant. At the end of the class, they gave me a "booklet of memories" which I will cherish forever. I get to see them next week, of course, but it was still kind of sad to know it was my last class with them. To be honest, I got a little misty. I wonder if I'll get emotional at graduation. I should get them all a little gift. Or maybe make them a gift with my newly rediscovered love of sewing...

The weather continues to suck. I miss Florida so much right now. I don't know if I can take the cold rain much longer. Ug.

Well, my laundry is done. I'm going to take it down to the driers and get them dry. Clean clothes ftw.
