1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
Climbed a mountain, ate something without knowing what it was, experienced unrequited love, celebrated Tanabata, made a serious plea to Satan to make a wish come true, been so lonely I cried, made a snowman out of real snow, danced in a play, spent over $1,000 on a single purchase, sat under cherry blossoms, got so drunk I couldn't move, and had dinner with total strangers.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
No, I didn't keep my last New Years' resolution. And I refuse to make any this year.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
I don't think so... Maggie gave birth in 2007 right?
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Yep.
5. What countries did you visit?
Visit? Just the USA. Lived in Japan though.
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
Self-confidence, a boyfriend, a sexy body, and the ability to mind read
7. What dates from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
My trip to Kyushu in May because it was the most alive I have ever felt. Also my birthday was pretty epic.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting my Japanese driver's license! What a nightmare that was.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Bursting into tears in the middle of a lesson.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Got several head colds and fevers, threw up a few times, experienced sleepless nights, and sliced a huge chunk of knuckle off my right middle finger using a potato slicer. Yeowch.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My oven, external hard drive, and kotatsu.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My sister's, dad's.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?

14. Where did most of your money go?
Travel, food, and video games.

Kyushu, Genki, my trip home last June, Rachel E visiting Japan, Repo!, The Dark Knight, Thanksgiving, winter vacation,

Happier for sure

None. I think it's commendable, really.

Oh, yes; Every third year student at Sakawa JHS can burn in hell for all I care.

Everything material I wanted, I got.

Everything immaterial I wanted, I didn't get. Satan does not grant wishes.

The Dark Knight. Pretty high on everyone's list, I think. It was just a damn good movie.

I was twenty-four and I spent it bar hopping and getting free food from drunk Japanese men.

Having my family here with me, or at the very least my sister.

People are only as awesome as they think you are. Also, Japan is a nice place to visit, but not somewhere I want to live.
