Trips
So I leave for Osaka tomorrow morning! Well, technically I leave for Kochi Airport tomorrow morning and I leave for Osaka tomorrow afternoon. Whatever--potato, tomato.
I am so excited! This is going to be one great trip. The weather looks pretty good right now. The only rain forecast is in Kyoto on Thursday, which is the day we leave to come back to Kochi. Let's hope this forecast holds true. I can deal with rain in Osaka, but rain in Kyoto will just suck. No rain allowed! I forbid it!
As excited as I am about the trip, I'm so exhausted right now. I had to stand in the blazing hot sun and watch the kids practice for Sports Day for two periods. Then we teachers practiced tug of war for almost an hour. An hour of tug of war. My poor hands. :( It doesn't help that I burned myself pretty bad on both my ring fingers during tea ceremony yesterday.
I'm so tired. All I want to do is sleep, but I haven't even started to pack for the trip yet! I know, I know... I'm awful. Anyway, yeah, I'm going to commence the running around like a chicken with its head cut off.
Edit: So that rain that's being forecast for Thursday in Kyoto? Yeah, that would be a typhoon coming in. It's headed right for Kochi, although it'll only be a tropical storm by the time it reaches us. However, we will be riding our bus into the heart of it on Thursday. And I have to wonder how likely it will be that Sports Day will get canceled...
But, hey! I'm just thanking my lucky stars this thing is waiting until after our trip to come. Once we get to Kochi, we'll have a car and other shelter to rely on. When you're temple-and-shrine-hopping, there's not many places to hide under. >.<
