I am feeling much better today. After going for days with no appetite whatsoever, I am finally eating again. I was even having trouble choking down broth and crackers until yesterday. My stomach was growling and my body was obviously in desperate need of food, but the thought of ingesting anything made me nauseous. It was a very strange, uncomfortable feeling.
But like I said, I'm almost back to 100%. The medicine I got seems to be helping a lot. It's a relief to know that I can take Japanese medicine without, like, turning purple or anything.
I had a pretty good day today. No classes at Sakawa (really, what are they paying me for?) but I had one class at Togano Elementary with the 3rd years. CUUUUTE! God, I love em. They're so full of questions and asking a million minute. Then they ask me to sign autographs afterwards.>.< You can't help but feel loved after an elementary class, even when you realize they won't even remember your name tomorrow.
Well, it's the weekend for me. Yay! I shall spend it lounging and recovering from this awful bug. I want to try to get down the video rental and see about renting a DVD or two. The thought of watching some of my favorite movies in Japanese dub is just too fun to pass up. I've never rented in Japan before, though, so we'll see how complicated it is. Heh.
Also, I was wondering if anyone out there has any suggestions for a good book. Preferably a very long book. Maybe even something in a series. I want to read something--anything, really: sci-fi, mystery, fantasy, general. Just no romances. And something contemporary. If a romance is a subplot, that's fine, but nothing that takes over the story.
I ask because I'm making a purchase buying a bunch of crap from Amazon sometime next week and I'd like to include a good book. Shipping is murder from Amazon US and so I can only buy stuff like every other month and still be able to eat.
Well, that's all. Thanks for all the well-wishes I received from everyone. They made me feel a kind of warmth that had nothing to do with my fever. :D
LOVE!
