After puking my guts out all Thursday night and into Friday morning, I called off work only to discover that I was mostly okay the rest of the day except for some sore muscles and this mysterious rash underneath my eyes. The rash has not gone away, but the rest of me is fine. I wish I hadn't called off work, but I was probably still contagious and I was yet very achy and tired. So, yeah. There go the rest of my sick hours just in time for my wisdom teeth operation in which I'm going to have to call off for two days.
Ahhh c'est la vie.
I've discovered some rather disturbing things about moving to Japan. The biggest concern I have right now is the fact that my apartment, although rented out for me by my contracting organization, will be unfurnished. Yes, no refrigerator, no bed, no microwave, stove--nothing. I'll have to buy it all myself. I'll also owe key money, first and last month's rent, and lots of other little charges. And I don't get payed until I work for one month. So yeah...
SEND MONEY!! ;P
I have a good $1,000 saved up right now, but they're saying to bring at least $3,000 with you. So I'm still about $2,000 short. I think I'll be able to save up another $1,000 on my own if I live like a hermit for the next three months buuuuut it's going to cost me a lot to get luggage (I have NONE), clothing, and the tons of other stuff that I'll need before I leave. hehe I think my credit card is going to get a workout... ;(
I'm relying heavily on my (cash donation) graduation gifts. So, please, if you're thinking of buying me a present, don't. It's much simpler than that: I just need money. No fancy gifts, no stressing over what to get me (if you want to get me anything,) just money. $5 will do. I don't even need a card!
haha I know everyone's tight on money now and if you were just planning on sending me lots of well-wishes and hugs for my graduation gift, I will certainly take those too. ^^
I'm really, really hoping for some substantial gifts from my relatives, especially the rich ones who never give me anything... lol. But, hey, I'm graduating in the top 15% of my class and I've secured a job in Japan. I'm also the first college graduate of the newest generation on my mom's side. I think that warrants some attention. LOVE ME, RELATIVES! SEND MONEY!
haha.Seriously, though. I'm nervous as hell.
But so excited! :D
Oh, and today is my Japanese speech, so wish me luck!!
health,
