So its been a little over a month that i've been working at UTPA. I've been busy. I'm always doing something. Things were a lot slower at my prior jobs. At the Elections office, if there wasn't an election going on I pretty much just lived in Niecy's office discussing lunch plans.
At the law school. I was busy in the fall semester but after the fall tasks are a lot more easy-going. We had 2,300 students and 5 staff members to assist them.
At UTPA I'm designated to the College of Business and I have 3,500 student on my own. My day goes by fast. I usually meet with 4 students a day then I run around campus meeting people and making phone calls and trying to keep myself organized. You would think I would mind, but I like it. I even volunteerly stay later to finish up work. The other staff does too sometimes. Working 8 hours just isn't enough sometimes. I stay to make sure the next day isn't hectic. I don't like rushing through things.
Next month I'm going to Nashville to some College Day.
The next week I'm going to Minneapolis for some Target Day.
Both are short trips. (Two days) Nashville and Minneapolis are two cities that I never imagined myself visiting. ::shurg:: However, i'm glad i'm going. Hopefully I'll have time to go to the Mall of America in Minneapolis. I'm not sure what I can do in Nashville, but I know they have steamboats, maybe a steamboat right? We'll see.
