in behind the wheel today i was driven down to sandbridge and as always we were listing to country. which consiquently urges me to drive off the road, but after a few songs about sex and getting drunka nd beating kids there was a random song by carrie underwood called Jesus take the wheel.. and it was kinda cool to think that among all the choas our society dumps out there are still folks out there that in trust there lives in GOd. it was a really good song
She was driving last Friday on her way to Cincinnati
On a snow white Christmas Eve
Going home to see her Mama and her Daddy with the baby in the backseat
Fifty miles to go and she was running low on faith and gasoline
It would been a long hard year
She had a lot on her mind and she didn't pay attention
She was going way to fast
Before she knew it she was spinning on a thin black sheet of glass
She saw both their lives flash before her eyes
She didn't even have time to cry
She was sooo scared
She threw her hands up in the air
Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cause I can't do this all on my own
I'm letting go

To save me from this road I'm on

It was still getting colder when she made it to the shoulder
And the car came to a stop
She cried when she saw that baby in the backseat sleeping like a rock
And for the first time in a long time
She bowed her head to pray
She said I'm sorry for the way
I've been living my life
I know I've got to change
So from now on tonight
isnt that how we should veiw life... is not under our control at all.. and if we decided to get behind the wheel for our selves we are just going to keep hitting ice till we fully surrender all that we are to the Lord and he can bring us home safley.. it jsut made me smile.. being in a car full of secular people that valuse the world over anything and coach worst didnt change it he just hummed along.. it was really peaceful and it also helps with driving now cause i just know that because i do surrencder to my God hes got the wheel and will protect me through danger... ah i love faith
and it kinda brings me to another song that got me through soccer camp in a random place wheni was scared and hurting and just beat to a pulp... but i had the third day cd and i swear having God gave me the strength behyond belife even in somthing as simple as a sport God can be worshiped and honored... its really awesome ahh AWesome
