Five of Serph's rituals and/or habits.
I. Serph checks on other Embryon members daily. Doesn't matter how, he will find them and make sure they're fine. To his benefit, his ghostly nature gives him enough chances to spy on people and know their plans. It also lets him play personal stalker - after all, him checking on people doesn't mean they know he's doing that.
This one goes back from the Junkyard. That's how Serph assumes responsibility as Embryon's leader.
II. Serph is obsessive about keeping his weaponry in perfect condition. He checks it once every week and before missions. He knows every scratch, when and how it happened. If you claim you know his guns better, he'll wrestle you to the ground and pistolwhip the truth out of you.
His gun is always in perfect condition.
III. Varna is always kept fed. Serph made a map that lists worlds safe for feeding and portals that lead there. He visits them daily. He has zero problems with devouring anything alive and organic, be it monster or human. Varna shares those feeding habits.
He thinks Pokemon taste nastiest of them all.
IV. He writes in Embryon's scrapbook religiously. There's no tribe-related event that isn't photographed and recorded in that thing. Most records are simple, but certain ones - they're harder to find, sometimes being scribbled on back of the attached photos - give deeper insight into Serph's feelings about those events.
That book is a hymn of Serph's devotion to his tribe. Anyone else would think he has no life upon seeing it.
V. These days, Serph regularly feeds the cat who lives in a nearby alleyway. He noticed that the beastie follows him around - whatever world he lives in right now, it's there. Funny creature. Black with an ornate silver collar. Funny how it doesn't have a home.
Regular visits to alleyway scored Serph with contacts among local hobos. He hears interesting stuff from them. He also knows several with l337 skillz. One day, he'll commission them to build him a nuke.
