After friday night things got a lil better.
Saturday i woke up early and seeing that me and charlotts had to fast for 24 hours**, my family took us to breakfast to have a big meal. After breakfast i walked over to the school cause liberty had there first soccer game. We were playing college park in our first preseason game. Me and Mary are out injured right now so we were the trainers for JV and Varsity. It was more painful sitting on the sidelines watching the game then i think it would have been if i was actually playing on my ankle.lol, i hate sitting out. Anyways. We werent doing so good at all, our defense kept shutting down and it was frustrating. We lost 5-1 but its ok cause its only preseason and more then half the team has never played at varsity level before. We have 9 seniors, 3 juniors, 2 freshmen, and 12 sophmores, thats as of right now, we have 26 players and there cutting it down to 23. Final cuts will probably be tomorrow. Tony(my coach) came up to me and mary and was like "you two are going to be captains with jenna" i was stoked cause ive only played 2 days and he asked me. Thats not for the whole season just for that game, but still.
After the game was finished i walked to the church because we are having our little hungerfast lock in** thingo. When i got there rachel was asleep and everyone was just kind of chillen. It was me, rach, char, janel, meagen, heather, ryan, nick, jon, steven, butch, josh, and of course our youth leaders, meghen and dave. When i got there Butch, josh, and the twins were playing a game, rach was asleep, ryan and nick were playing hacky sack, char and janel were throwing round this gross looking squishy thing. It was kinda funny. We hung out for a bit and we went out side and threw the footbal land played hacky sack. Soon even that got boring so we found a shoppping cart and were messin round with that (josh almost pushed nick into his car, close call). We saw a bunch of leaves so we piled them into the cart and dumped then across the street. Then we made a fat pile of leaves up against a fence, and when the wind blew we kicked the leaves at the fence and they stucjk and made a wall of leaves, it was pretty cool.
Because we had the camera outside we started taking pics pf random stuff. While nick had the camera, this hella sick camaro with racing stripes pulled up and started going hella slow cause nick was taking a pic of it. All of a sudden it burnt out, fish tailed, and swung a doughnut. While it was swinging the doughnut you souldnt see it though cuse the smoke was so thick. It was way cool. The marks were just as good.
After that we went back insidet and watched shrek 2. Once that finished me, char, nick, and ryan left to go to the epidemic. We stayed for the first 2 bands, which were seein three and savage machine. They were both really good, and i had tons of fun. I wish i could have stayed for the whole thing but i told my mom that we wouldnt stay there too long. So we all headed back to the lock in. We watched nightmare before christmas then gone in 60 seconds. Me, janel, and ryan were the only ones that actually stayed awake for the whole movies. Us sleeping was also a funny sight. we were spralled out every where including: on top of tables (jon) under tables (me, nick, and heather) and on comfy couches (rach and ryan) and just on the floor (every one else).
In the morning i was woken up by everyone singin "rise and shine" (i hate that song!)(lol). When i finally sat up i noticed that i was covered in TP. josj and butch decided that it was a good idea to get me janel and char back from that last lock in (we decided to make him pretty and gave him a gorgeous makeover). So we turned it around on him and took the TP and got his car with it. (evil grin) Valerie showed up and we had a lil minnie service. They had a surprise for us, which was having breakfast an hour early, yessss! We were all so hungry that none of us could eat very much. We watched the end of gone in 60 seconds and then we had to clear out for church.
I went home and too a shower, and finished up some hw i had to do. My family had lunch at carls jr. and after the hunger fast i ate everything i had, i didnt want to feel guilty about throwing food away that could have fed some poor child. My mom then took me and char sh9opping and barnes and noble, bed bath and beyond, and target. Me and char finally got beds, so ill be moving back into my own room. We had dinner at bunkers and i think i got food piosoning cause i felt so sick. Now im ready for bed. So i must leave you all. nightt night!
** The hunger fast was to support out vicor. She gave a sermon and hunger today and the youth group decided to support her sermon by giving up food for 24 hours. So we went 24 hours wiht only water to drink. Through this experiance we learnt alot. There are so many sad statistics that we learnt. Some of then are: every minute 3 children die of starvation. Every 15 minutes 300 children die of starvation. 5.5 million people die of starvation or malnutrition in Kenya. One slice of bread in kenya costs $5. The average salary in one month in kenya is $300 and thats if your lucky. How can a family live off of $300 a month if a slice of bread costs $5? Did you know that if you gave just 7 cents a day then you could save someones life. If everyone in the world gave 7 cents a day the problem of world hunger would be solved. Now after hearing all these statistis im gunna tell you sumthin extremely sad....our number one problem in the US is obesity. How selfish are we. Just think about this, you may say to yourself that just you cant solve this problem. You may not beable to, but you can start to.
