To say that she's relieved to be home is an understatement. Yet, in true Chloe fashion, instead of talking about what happened, how it happened, and why it happened, she avoids the subject completely. It's not all intentional, however. She honestly isn't able to keep her eyes open on the ride back to the penthouse and the last vestiges of her energy are spent eating the left-over Chinese in the fridge and pass out on the couch.
Oliver must have moved her at some point during the night because she wakes up in bed, in his arms. Further delay of talking is understandable - it should be, anyway - because then her only objective is to enjoy the feeling of being safe again.
The to-do list is blatant avoidance and she knows this. True, they talk about the wedding and that's also important. It's extremely important, even, considering July is weeks away. You can even make the argument that laughing over Clark's wardrobe choices is important because it adds levity, something sorely needed after a stressful couple of days like they've just had. Still...
Chloe shuts her laptop, setting it down on the nightstand before turning back around. She shifts on the bed, curling up against Oliver's side and looking up at him. "I really AM sorry, Ollie. I should have followed protocol. God knows I know better."
