Don't you hate strategy guides? Look at this:
---> STRATEGIC TACTICS: <---
Seymour Omnis: This will be your final confrontation against the obdurate
Seymour. Start out with core stats of about or near 100. HP should be nearing
7000-7500 and MP better be at least 300-350. For armor have Fire Eater, Water
Eater, Ice Eater, Lightning Eater on everybody. Weapons should have First
Strike, and Strength+10-20%.
--------------------------------------
Okay now. Few of my characters had more than 3000 HP, and The only one with appriciably so was Auron, with 5000-some. My MP was mostly less than that too. And I beat Seynmour in only a couple trys, because I made use of basic spells.
I don't understand the obsession with leveling up, or with Making your characters god-like. Why play obsessively when all you need to do is play smart? I've never found a single RPG that I needed to level up to beat.
Any time you see a guide, like that one, They'll be saying, oh, for this you should be dealing out 9999 damage every attack. What? Fuck no. I deal out 3-5 thousand, tops. again, the ceiling's Auron.
All that damage that guide was saying to sponge up? I negated it with some of the most basic white magic spells. It's like Kung Fu; you don't have to be stronger to kick their ass if you can hit them how it hurts.
Consider a Fireball to the g'nads before a fist to the chestplate.
