In the costume closet, Wesley started looking through the racks, wondering what he could wear. He wasn't completely sure why he was so enthusiastic about wearing a costume, but he couldn't help it. This would be fun, he decided, especially since Rupert was going to be wearing one as well.
Glancing over at his lover, he grinned when he saw the purple suit that he had pulled out. It looked like something that Lorne would feel comfortable wearing, but he decided not to say that, to either of them. "Bloody good idea," he said, rather amused that Rupert was going to be walking around with a cane after the conversation they had the first day they had got back together.
Then Rupert pulled out the red dress and held it up to him, and Wesley shrinked back a bit. "Ohh, no. I'm not wearing that! I'm not a lady, and I'm certainly not your lady friend," he protested, holding his hands up as if he could ward off the red frock. "Why are we even agreeing to this anyway? This is so silly; I mean, wearing a costume..."
Suddenly, he trailed off and looked at the dress again, then reached out and took it from Rupert. He then started looking through everything on the top of the racks. "Is there a wig? I'd look pretty silly in this with my short hair--a ha!"
With a grin, he pulled a wig of long, black hair out.
"Come now, Wesley," Giles said, holding the dress up. "You'll look quite beautiful in this dress. I'll be the luckiest man at the party." A grin spread across his face when Wesley finally agreed to wear the dress. Then he watched as his lover as he looked for a wig, smiling when he found one. "Brilliant, love."
Taking Wesley's hand, Giles led him back to Wesley's office. "We should get dressed in out costumes now. We don't want to miss the best part of the party!" Taking his suit, Giles went to the back of Wesley's office and quickly changed. When he was finished, he walked out and modeled it for the other man.
"Do I look like a pimp, love?" he asked, turning around to show off his new purple suit. He tapped the cane on the floor and grinned at his lover.
When they returned to his office, Wesley shut the blinds on the window to give themselves a bit of privacy while they changed. He then set the dress and wig on the table and began pulling off his shoes, socks and trousers, all the while glancing over at Rupert, who was changing in the back of the office. The dim light made it hard to see him until he walked out from behind the desk, wearing the purple suit.
Wesley found himself grinning broadly. "You look very much the part, love," he told him as he pulled off his shirt. He then smiled and reached out to touch the suit. "Hmmm...feels nice."
Looking at the dress, he picked it up and slipped if over his head, part of him still not believing that he was doing this, but feeling that he had to. Once he had the dress on, he slipped the wig over his head, shaking the curls out slightly so they fell over his shoulders.
"I do believe I'm the bearded lady," he said with a snort, just as there was a knock at the door. A moment later, Fred came in.
"Wesley, sorry, I was just wondering if--." She suddenly stopped and stared at them, her eyes wide. "Oh my god, what are the two of you wearing?"
Giles tipped his hat at Wesley and smirked as he twirled his cane around. He was rather good at and it had to be his years of sword training. Perhaps after the party he could go down to the red district of Los Angeles and show off his new skills. Turning, he watched Wesley get ready and grinned.
"You look rather stunning, my love," Giles said. He went over to Wesley and straightened at his wig and smirked at his bearded lady comment. "You'd make a lovely sideshow freak." He was looking him over when Fred walked in and he looked over at her.
"We're going to Lorne's party," Giles said with a smile. He then looked at Wesley again before looking at Fred. "Since you're a woman, Fred, perhaps you could do his makeup for him?"
"Um, well, okay," Fred said as she looked from Wesley to Giles.
Giles grinned and walked over to wear his clothes laid. He found his socks and walked over to Wesley. "You need some cleavage, Wesley. No lady friend of mine is going to be flat as a board," he said as he started to stuff the socks into the dress.
At Rupert's sideshow freak comment, Wesley was about to make a comment about purple suits and clowns but was distracted by Fred's arrival...especially when Rupert asked her to do his make-up.
"Really, I don't think that's necessary," he tried to say, but Fred was already rooting around in her handbag, pulling out blush, lipstick and other things. Then Rupert said he needed cleavage and started to stuff the socks into his dress. "Rupert, really! I think the dress is quite enough!"
He tried to squirm away, but soon he was outnumbered two-to-one, and Rupert was holding him while Fred started applying make-up.
"You know, this would be a lot easier if you didn't have this beard of yours," Fred said as she put blush on his cheeks.
"I like my beard!" Wesley insisted.
"Yeah, but it makes you look a bit funny as a woman."
"Well, I'm not a woman, am I?"
Suddenly, the door opened, and the three of them froze. "Holy mother of hannah, what are the three of you doing?" Lorne asked. Before Wesley could explain, though, he continued, "You're supposed to be out at the party."
Wesley glanced over at Fred and Rupert, then down at himself, suddenly feeling a bit self-conscious. "Well..."
"I'd sorta kinda wanted to go to the--," Fred started to say.
"Okay, you three, loosen up and go out to the party! I worked hard, and I want people to have a good time, damn it." With a frustrated growl, he stormed out of the room.
Giles shook his head as Wesley tried to squirm his way out of getting his makeup done. “Oh, do stop complaining. You’re lucky I’m not making you shave your legs,” he said, shaking his head. With a smirk, he looked at Wesley. “I think I’m going to call you Wendy for the rest of the night.” He giggled a little and patted Wesley on the ass.
When Lorne walked in and told them they had to go out there, Giles’ eyes widen. He was under the impression they only had to wear costumes and laze about Wesley’s office. “Uh, I don’t know Lorne...I thought we could...” Then the demon told them to loosen up and get out there, and Giles found himself nodding in agreement.
“He’s right. We shouldn’t ruin his party by being wankers. We should be out there dancing! Come along now,” he said, leading the other two out of Wesley’s office.
When they got to the dance floor, Harmony was in the middle of it, dancing in circles. Giles went out and started to dance like he had when he was a teenager. “Cool moves, Giles!” Harmony said, trying to mock the moves.
Giles turned and looked at Fred and Wesley. “Are you two going to dance or just stand there?” he asked as he twirled his cane a bit.
Wesley was quite relieved that neither of them wanted him to shave - although the funny thing was that he knew if they had insisted, he would have done so. He wasn't sure why, but he would have.
However, he had to poke back when Rupert said that he'd call him Wendy for the rest of the night. "If I'm Wendy, that means I'm going to call you 'Purple Pan'," he told him before Fred started to put lipstick on him.
After Lorne had told them to loosen up and get out to the party, he and Fred exchanged shrugs and followed Rupert out into the lobby where the party was in full swing. Wesley wasn't sure what Lorne was getting uptight about - it seemed that things were going well, especially with Harmony leading the way on the dance floor. A moment later, Rupert was out there as well, dancing and twirling his cane.
"Shall we dance?" he asked Fred when Rupert asked if they were going to join them. She nodded, and soon the three of them were dancing, twirling around with each other and laughing like loons.
"Hey, doll, what's a bird like you--PERCY?!" Wesley turned around to see Spike standing there, staring at him with huge eyes. "Percy...you look beautiful, doll!"
When Spike walked up and hit on Wesley, Giles growled. "Stop hitting on my woman, Spike," he said, standing in front of Wesley.
"Hey Rupes! Nice outfit! I wish I had your fashion sense," Spike said as he touched Giles' purple suit.
"Bugger off!"
"I'm being serious! Oh, look, it's Angel! Hey, Angel, love the hair," he said, walking off toward the other vampire.
"That was weird," Fred commented as she looked at Giles and Wesley. "Really weird."
"What's that?" Giles asked as he started to dance again. He glared at a couple of guys that seemed to be checking Wesley out. No one was going to touch Wesley if he could help it.
"Spike being all happy and nice and positive," Fred said.
Giles thought for a moment and then nodded. "You're right!" he said as he watched Angel sneak off with some blonde.
"Oh, there's Charles! Lets ask him!" Fred said, tugging on Giles and Wesley's hands.
"I'm not a woman!" Wesley tried to tell both Rupert and Spike, but neither of them seemed to hear him as Rupert was in the middle of telling Spike to bugger off, but Spike was...
Wesley furrowed his brow. Something wasn't right about all this. He was standing there in a bloody dress and Spike was being...nice?
But then they started dancing again, and Wesley just shrugged it off until Fred mentioned what he had noticed. Stopping again, he looked from his lover to his friend and back, happy that Rupert seemed to realize it too. He allowed Fred to pull him over toward Gunn, and when they reached him, he tapped on his shoulder.
"Gunn, have you noticed something weird going--?"
Before he finished his question, Gunn turned around, and Wesley suddenly noticed that he had his trousers unzipped and was...urinating.
"Charles, you just peed on my feet. And I'm not wearing any shoes. Ew!" He jumped back and started wiping them on the carpeting.
Gunn looked at him for a moment, then down at himself. "Well...that's weird. And you're wearing a dress. I'd say that's weird."
Spike went by nearby, crowing about how great the party was, and Wesley looked over at Fred and Rupert.
"Okay, something is definitely wrong with this picture," she said.
"Me and Rupert wearing costumes. Us dancing. Spike beind nice, and Gunn...peeing on things? We...we almost seem to be under the effect of some kind of spell," Wesley agreed.
Giles allowed Fred to pull him over to Gunn. He'd only met the man one other time but knew Wesley and Fred had spent time with him. When they got over to him, and he turned around, Giles noticed his trousers were unzipped. That was odd. But not as odd as Gunn urinating on Wesley bare feet. "You're going to scrub those, love, even before you get into bed with me!" he said.
They then heard Spike hollering about something and Giles shook his head. "Something is amiss!" he said, looking at the others. Spike wandered over to them, bopping his head to the music. "What has gotten into you?"
"Lorne told me to be more positive!" Spike said as he started to dance.
"Hey! He told us to loosen up!" Fred said.
"I don't think he told me to pee on things," Gunn said as he looked down at his trousers.
"Hey kiddies! Fab party, isn't it?" Lorne asked, walking over to them.
All of them stared at Lorne and Giles grabbed him. "He did something to us!" he exclaimed.
"We should take him to Angel's office," Fred suggested.
Giles led Lorne to Angel's office and all of them barged in. Angel popped up from behind the couch, naked. "Oh dear lord! Put some bloody clothes on your wanker!" Giles said, covering his eyes.
"Angel butt! I just saw Angel butt!" Fred said, closing her eyes and turning away toward Wesley and Giles.
Spike walked right past them and flashed the thumbs up sign when he saw Angel and Eve together behind the sofa. "Hey, Angel's getting some! Good on you, mate!"
This started a squabble between Spike, Gunn, Eve and Angel over what was wrong with all of them while Fred, Rupert and Wesley looked at each other then over at Lorne. "Stop! Stop! There's nothing wrong with any of you. At least not in 'lost your bloody mind' sense although I am seriously wondering about Angel there."
"I'm not the one wearing a dress, Wes," Angel said, looking over at Eve and giving her a goofy grin before leaning over to make out with her again.
"Keep it in your pants, you two!" Fred said, causing them to jump apart for a moment before leaning back toward each other again. "Lorne, make them stop!"
Lorne threw his hands up in a shrug. "This is crazy. I am not doing this. I would know if I was doing this. I don't even know what this is."
"No, you've definitely been doing something to us," Wesley said. "You told us to get costumes, we did. Told us to loosen up, we did."
"He told me to be positive!" Spike put in, jumping up and down to the music filtering in from the lobby.
"I did not tell Gunn to water the ferns!" Lorne insisted.
Giles kept his eyes shut because he did not want to see Angel naked. It was bad enough when the vampire had slept with his Slayer. Instead, he turned his back and listened to everyone bicker. He then noticed Gunn had wandered over to one of the statues in Angel's office and was urinating again. Shaking his head, he went over there and tol the man to tuck himself in and to stop it.
"Wait a minute!" Gunn suddenly said as he zipped himself up. "Lorne had his sleep removed!"
"I did not...well, okay, maybe I did but I had to!" Lorne said in defense of himself.
"Okay. Wes, Fred, and Giles? Go find Lorne's sleep. Lorne, stop telling people what do to. Gunn? Stop peeing on things, and Eve? We're going to have more sex," Angel said, falling behind the couch again.
"I'm not bloody taking orders from you!" Giles protested as he folded his arms over his chest.
"Come on," Fred said, tugging on Wesley and Giles' hands. "Lets go find his sleep."
Glancing over at his lover, he grinned when he saw the purple suit that he had pulled out.
