Happy Monday, everyone! And it's a happy because Mondays mean new fic! :)

Poor Buffy, all alone on her birthday. And really Giles? A card? You really think a mere birthday card is good enough for Buffy's 21st? Tsk tsk tsk ( ... )

I have to agree with a lot of what kashira1786 had to say. While I loved the romance between Buffy and Giles in this AU, Giles was a bit too saccharine for me. Sure, he didn't have all the horrific things happen to him to make him the snarky and taciturn Watcher we all know and love, but I don't see him quite as open and demonstrative as we see in this fic ( ... )

So I finally got around to reading this fanfic(I had a very busy week), and I loved it. I loved how Buffy gave up her change to have a normal life, knowing that the right thing to do was to return to being the slayer. This is the Buffy I know and love. Also? When she asked for Giles to be left behind back in the new life, I actually cried. Buffy was willing to never see Giles again, just so he could have the normal life...she never could ( ... )

This story has to be one of my favorites. I love the idea that Buffy and Giles were fated to meet no matter what reality they are in. It was great that Buffy was willing to sacrifice her happiness and her chance at a normal life to save Giles from all the pain he suffered while being her Watcher. It is always nice to see a story that fix the travesty that was season six.
