HereIt was... refreshing, to have a conversation with Willow Rosenberg. Especially if one considers our history. This is after all, the girl I condemned to death once. Her or thousands of others. But we didn't talk about that now. We talked about...normal things

"Is Willow with you?" She was tapping her nails on the table where she kept the phone, I could practically hear them.
"Yes she is. Where else would she be?" I asked rather confused.
"Oh, I don't know," Cordelia huffed. "Here?! Where she was *supposed* to be?"
"We-we thought we'd go for some t-tea after dinner. And well, we lost you in traffic and..."
"Yeah yeah," Cordelia said. And it's quite a talent but you can actually hear the eyeroll in her voice. "Did you take you medication? Did she make sure you didn't overdo thing? You're not in pain are you? That's why you didn't drive her here!"
"No, no, Cordelia," I quickly said, "I'm fine, honest. I'm...about to take my medication and I'm fine."
"Let me talk to Willow," she said, obviously not believing me, though I've no idea why. Sighing, I looked over at Willow with a small apologetic smile. "She wishes to talk to you," I said softly, holding my hand over the speaker.

"So, you guys got lost in traffic."
Heh. I could almost hear this disbelief and sarcasm drip through the phone line. "Yeah, it was, ya know, busy and I was talking his ear off and we got sidetracked," I said in a rush. I heard Cordelia talking to someone, Angel by the sound of it. There was a rustle, and Cordelia was back.
"Wesley's okay, right?"
"He's fine, Cordy."
"Make sure he takes his medication, he was meant to take it with food, but I doubt he had it with him when you guys took off to who knows where."
"Okay." Yeah, I could do that, and it sounded all important and... yeah. "Sure thing, I'll get right on it."
"Well, okay. Call me when you wanna get picked up, okay? Gimme Wesley."
I blinked. Oh, right, Wesley's phone, Wesley's conversation, me staying at Cordelia's and not Wesley's... right. I handed the phone back with a tight grin.

Picking up my tea, I sighed and sipped it. The hot liquid flowing down my throat didn't do much to soothe me this time. I was getting tired and my side was starting to ache. I'd take my medication right before bed though, they tend to make me rather drowsy. I hated that feeling, which is why I tended to avoid taking those as much as possible.
I looked up when Willow handed me the phone back and sighed again.
"Don't sigh so much. You sure you're okay? You sound like you overdid it." I could practically hear the accusation in her voice.
"I wasn't sighing, Cordy," I sighed and then frowned. Dammit. "I'm fine, alright? Willow is fine, I'm fine, we're both fine. We're having a nice conversation and some hot tea."
"Yeah well," and there was that mental eyeroll again. "Just gimme a ring when Angel or Gunn need to pick her up. You are not, I repeat *not*, going to drop her of yourself. Ya hear me?"
"Yes, your Majesty," I did my mental version of an eyerol. Which was just as good as Cordelia's.
"Damn straight. Now go, have your tea, be merry and all that. And don't you run away from us without warning again."
"Yes, I'm sorry. I won't do it again." I glanced over at Willow and rolled my eyes at her.

"Wow, she's really motherly since I last saw her," I giggled, picking up my tea and feeling it warm up my hands. "It's kinda sweet, though, and unusually... not self-centred of her. I bit perdantic but hey, what can you do. Wanna sit?"
I didn't wait for an answer before I walked over towards the sofa. The table and chairs may have been more appropriate, but I was comfort-girl. I folded my legs under me, snuggling into the corner of the couch happily.

"Yes, she's changed a lot," I agreed with her, smiling softly at the phone. As exhausting as Cordelia could be, it was also quite warming to know there were at least three people who cared. Well, four, since Willow has been awfully attentive as well.
"What?" I looked up, her words tearing me out my thoughts and watched as she made herself comfortable on the sofa. I had to smile at that. It was almost as though she felt at home here in my meager apartment. I moved over to the kitchen to pick up my tea and then sank down beside her on the sofa carefully.
"I guess we all changed a lot since...those day's." Of course I didn't need to explain to her what 'those day's' were. Just as I was about to sip my tea, there was a loud crash outside, followed by lightning and thunder. "Summer storm," I muttered, looking at the window with a frown.
