More family history
I just overheard some interesting history about the Hawaiian side of my family. I heard that we descended from King Kalakaua. Or we're related some how. He was the last reigning king of Hawaii until he died in 1891 at the age of 54. Neat huh?
Also found out why my great great grandfather had blue eyes and blondish hair even though his records said he was full Hawaiian. His father really wanted these boots but he didn't have any money. I guess money was still kinda new to Hawaiians back then... So he traded his wife for the night to this German guy for the boots. And that's how my great great grandfather got blue eyes.
