That's pretty cool! What are you going to do with it when you're done, though? And where do you find the room to work on it? I imagine you have to leave a project like that spread out over a table-sized space!
I have a "wizard's house" on a table in my living room. It's on a 15 X 15 inch platform under a clear plastic cover to protect it from dust. My sister, who is the artist in the family, made it out of papier-mache. It looks like an open book with a two-level home inside. There are gargoyles on the walls holding torches and a curving staircase leading to the lower level. There is a wooden trunk with books and star charts spilling out and a work table with a crystal ball, a skull under domed glass, a small chest full of jewels, and a candle in a tall holder on it among other things. There is also a chair with a small side-table holding a goblet and cut-glass decanter, a foot-stool that matches the chair, a large book-stand holding a big open book, and shelves on one wall with all manner of things on them - including tiny glass bottles holding herbs. There are a number of other small items, too, but I don't want to go on forever. The amazing thing is, she made most of these things out of either papier-mache, bits of wood, or other regular objects made to look like something else (the "crystal ball" is a clear marble she put in a little holder). Almost everything in the house is movable, so the case can't be bumped. I rearrange the furniture and knick-knacks when I'm bored. *g* Once a year, I get to perform the very tricky maneuver of picking the whole thing up very carefully and carrying it to the bedroom to make room for our Yule tree, then bringing it back after the holidays. Woe betide anyone who jostles me! *g*
I'm going to sell it on ebay! Actually I'm going to keep it or maybe give it to one of my little cousins and build myself another one with higher quality paper and ink. Right now I'm using recycled paper I got for free from Office Depot when they had that used ink cartridges for a free ream of paper promotion. I'm also using a recycled ink cartridge from office depot which totally sucks and I don't recommend them. So far I'm only on page 6 of 26. I've only been doing two pages a day because I've been busy and that takes about two or three hours. It's crazy how small some of the folds are like you have to make six beams that are 1mm wide and four that are 2mm wide. But I have a skill for folds like that. I used to make tiny origami animals that could fit on a finger nail. My specialty was origami swans and I still remember how to do it. Well I'm off to do pages 7 and 8 now.
Of course I'll post pics when I'm done. So far I'm on page 22 of 26. I'm getting there. I'm starting to wish that all the pieces were precut because the cutting is what's taking up a lot of time. I also really hate the tiny little folds.

Yay! I'll be looking for the pictures on my friends page, just as soon as I finish my comment responses. *s* That is, if daughter doesn't wake up first and snatch the computer away from me.
