mermaid
I just remembered this dream even though it happened the morning after I went snorkeling. I ties in with the day at the beach. I knew I'd have a dream I was swimming after that day but I kept forgetting about it until now. I don't remember too much about the dream now but it'll make a great picture. I'll have to start drawing that one after I finish my dog dream.
The dream started off with me snorkeling at Hanauma Bay. I was on the left hand side of the bay where all the big fish were. I didn't swim out too far when I was really there but in the dream I wanted to find turtles and squid and other interesting sea creatures that were farther out. I swam out over the reef out to where the waves were breaking and followed some big fish into a patch of sand. While I was floating I saw a mermaid swim under me and into the rocks. I swam up to a bar stool that was conveniently placed on the reef for viewing the sea creatures below without being in the water. I waited silently and saw the mermaid swim out again. The mermaid wasnt shy of people but she wasn't going to stay in one place just to give us a good view. Plus she wasnt really that pretty like the little mermaid. She was kinda creepy actually. She looked almost like the mermaids in storybooks except her back was open and you could see her spine.
