less than two months til the return to thailand, and i need to start doing some planning. minor logistical stuff, like, oh, where i plan on staying... prolly go back to koh phi phi, make sure i have my email list updated. basic stuff.
weight watchers is kicking my ass. i've decided it isn't fair, because fatter people get more points. i'm just trying to change my lifestyle, but damn, i get to eat no cake! i eat healthy shit ALL DAMN DAY and still run out of points. i have no points left for cake! fat people get more points, and they can eat cake with those points. and they lose weight. i suspect i'll get on the scale on thursday, and while i was hoping for a stunning 5 pound loss, it wouldn't be surprising to find i've gained weight from constant consumption of pointless greens - catch the double meaning there if you will.
i'm not trying to be down on people who weigh more than me; it's just a truth. i guess i should be grateful that a 15 lb loss will leave me looking and feeling better than i have in years. and at least i'm not starting from my heaviest weight. but cutting your food intake by 75% is damn ROUGH. i know it means i'm eating what i'm actually supposed to be eating in responsible quantities, but it's a hard adjustment. still, i said i was going to get things back together before the summer, and so i'm hoping this is what works. it's amazing how many vegetables one can consume when hungry...
still putzing around with graduate school ideas. i'm just lazy.
also, been trying to catch up on the travel writing. i need to have that in order before i leave, too. it leaves me in an interesting position vis-a-vis my laptop, as i can't seem to write anymore but on a computer, and i don't really want to spend ridiculous amounts of cash on computer use. but it's a big risk to take, bringing my computer with me. hm...
anyway, the writing is still sketchy, but there's still 6 months of writing i'm behind on. once i get it down, i'll be out the door again. maybe after that i can really start organizing and editing... who knows.
