6th Shadow (Golden Beetle)

::Sitting on the beach, Ryoji gazes up at the sky. There's something magical about this-- a pitch black ocean, all the stars glittering in their places, and the... full moon.::

Midnight's just around the corner.

::Pulling his hands out from behind him, he flops down onto the sand, and stares straight up, looking thoughtful.::

... I hate midnight.

[Amadeus is just out walking, without his coat for once. Even in the warm weather he's been wearing it. But the temperature now is nice and he doesn't need something regulating his body temperature.

He spots Ryoji and waves a bit.]

Hello there, sir.

::Waves half-heartedly back::

Hey.

Certainly nice weather tonight.

I'm not too keen on it, myself.

::He kind of wishes that there was a cloud or two conveniently blocking out the moon. He gets anxious whenever he so much as looks at the damn thing.::

I have to say I much prefer it to the colder weather. It reminds me of home.

The heat isn't too bad. I'm just not enjoying how clear the sky is.

[He looks up at the moon and sighs.]

She is a thing of uncertainty, that is for sure.

... I think the moon is one of the more predictable things in life, myself.

Then you have obviously never met her in person.

Are we thinking of the same moon?

Reply

white_oroborous September 6 2009, 04:12:34 UTC
I assume so. We are discussing the one in the sky, yes?

Reply

watch_us_fall September 6 2009, 04:15:28 UTC
Yeah. But-- well, why don't you think the moon is predictable?

Reply

white_oroborous September 6 2009, 04:20:44 UTC
Because the cyclical nature of the moon is more my doing than hers, and she very much dislikes me for forcing her to keep to it.

Uh.
So... you're friends with the moon.
... Right.

I would not exactly call us "friends", but we are well acquainted, yes. She storms my office at least once every week or so about how I am "stifling" her by keeping her on her cycle.

... Yeah. We're definitely thinking of different moons.

::Points up::

That's my mother; Nyx.
