Thoughts after re-watching Maou

I first watched Maou as I was getting into the Arashi fandom probably in 2008 or 2009. As of late, after watching Arashi's live concerts many times, I have completely fallen in love with Ohno Satoshi. Sho-chan used to be my ichiban, but I guess it's because I've grown up and have come to understand Ohno's carefree and aloof demeanor. Okay, now onto Maou.. lol

Re-watching or re-reading something as an adult is truly a different experience. One have come to experience a lot in the world and has become wiser, which made Maou more heartbreaking the second time around.

I used to just root for Naruse, but now I kind of understand Serizawa's feelings. The guilt and atonement, how he lived a straightforward life from then on. Also, Naruse's wavering heart and how he showed Kasai mercy in the end (only to be stabbed by Yamano.. sigh) was just so fucking painful. He thought he was past the point of redemption and cannot let himself just be loved.

Now that I'm an Ohno Satoshi fan, I relished in every scene he was in and was able to observe his acting more closely. Damn, how can the cute puffy cheeked riida look so evil?

Sorry for my incoherent rambling lol. That's the reason why this blog exists though. Haha.
