happy fireworks day
so yep. another independence day has come and gone. nothing terribly exciting happened, really. this afternoon i hit the chinese buffet with murray and his lady, then went over to mary's parents' place for a bbq, and later on watched a fireworks display from the end of my block. wooo excitement!
the rest of the night's plans originally involved meeting murray and some other folks at the ugly oyster, which sounded peachy keen.. until i got a call from murr saying it was closed. damn. who closes a bar on the fourth of july? i mean, c'mon! anyway.. he went to meet some people down at the bowl grille and is supposed to be getting back to me about alternative plans, which would be lovely - except that i wanted to be in early tonight since i start class tomorrow. the last thing i need is to be dead tired for my first day of class, especially since i have to drive back and forth from NE philly in prime rush hour traffic. just seems like a not so smart idea. so i suppose i am in for the night, which is just as well. i don't really feel like spending any (more) money tonight anyway. shelling out the $75 i owed for that bridesmaid dress was enough, heh.
my esthetics class starts tomorrow. oh-em-gee!! it's been far too long since i've been in a classroom of any sort. this should be interesting. so should waking up at 7am.
