Lost in Hongkers
(A mystified entry)
Wingman and I met at the airport after work on Friday. The flight was packed. It was so funny .. In the plane .. The head airhostess came up to us .. And poor Wingman sat in the middle seat and she was asking .. Mr Wingman? So Wingman quickly looked up and flashed his seat belt at her .. It was very funny .. As the airhostess and I just stared at Wingman thinking … why on earth did he just flash his lap at her !!!!!!
Then she passed him a letter and walked off. The letter introduced the airhostesses in our section and hoped he had a good flight. Heheh it was so funny. She was giving Wingman the "special" treatment .. By introducing herself to him .. But she didn't just say it .. She gave him a little letter.
After arriving in HK, by the time we got out to the apartment it was about 1 am and we were so tired.
The next day, I had booked for Wingman and I to go to Yung Kee. Its supposed to be a famous restaurant for Roasted Goose. Hmmm .. It was very nice and Wingman and I feasted on Goose, some veges and Pei dan Jook. Hmmmmmm yum !
Its lucky we booked (I called up from Singapore) as it was fully booked out for Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights and after we left (even though they had 4 floors of restaurant) there was a queue outside to get a seat.
The next day we went to Fung Sing (the restaurant right next to our apartment) for lunch. I was talking to my colleague and he has suggesting I go to Fung Sing .. Which turned out to be the restaurant next door !!!!! He said its very good traditional Cantonese food. Anyway .. Yum cha was good. We shared a table .. It was hilarious as we had to ask the old lady and man sitting on our table with us to help us order.
I didn't do such a good job ordering .. And forgot that my colleague told me that we MUST have the shark fin soup .. Which is supposed to be very cheap and REALLY good.
Anyway … as we ate, this old couple were having a serious conversation. The wife was going OFF at her husband .. It was so funny .. She is telling him off about the kids and about money .. And he replied about her mahjong .. Wingman then quietly said to me under his breathe .. Is he in trouble ? So I sat there .. Semi translating what was going on between the couple on the other side of the table from us. It was quite funny. I don't think they knew we understood .. Or maybe didn't care.
Hong Kong was hot, not that hot but quite humid. It wasn't as bad as it was in August when I was there last for work. We did quite a fair bit of walking .. And slept a lot. We watched Fantastic 4 .. Which was REALLY good. But we didn't go to Disneyland, maybe next time.
