Fish does not equal vegetable.

tomorrow (today, for most of you, yesterday for more of you and some-number-of-days-ago for the rest) is (was) ash Wednesday. Why is it that I always seem to be working, or doing stuff on fasting days? LAME. TOTALLY LAME. Ah well, at least the Catholics have a very loose idea of what fasting is. "One meal, or two small meals that together equal one meal" AND they get to drink water. What wussies. Also, since when is fish NOT a meat? No meat on fridays during lent. This should include fish. Fish is a dead animal, therefor meat. FISH IS NOT A VEGETABLE.
But that aside, I haven't really had time to think of what I'm going to do this year for lent. It would be really easy to say that I'll ride my bike at least three times a week, because that's something I want to do anyway. Maybe this will give me more of a reason to actually do it (Riding For God? Does that sound like some sort of charity marathon or what?) but then, when I inevitably fall out of it I'll have failed two fold.
Much easier to give something up. you don't have to do it, in fact, you just /don't/ do it. Much easier. But then, what do I give up? I don't really have anything that I can give up. Last year I gave up frivolous money-spending, and that would be good for me, but again, it seems like a cop-out.

So I leave it up to you:
A) Ride For God (Or, Ride Your Gorram Bike at Least 3 Times a Week, You Lazy Child! For God)
B) Stop Being a Consumer Whore. For Jesus.
C) Somthing Far More Interesing. For Mary.
