ok, it has been 6 days since a real update, and even longer than that since a happy one, so I am more than due. It is funny how I finally find time to update on the first day of classes of all days... Anyway, as far as the week in review, move in went super smooth for the first part. The floor is absolutely amazing, and they all get along so well. Suprisingly there are no assholes or supernerds or anything of the sort, which is amazing. That may not be a very PC RA statement, but every RA Im sure can sympathize. It is nice to be able to deal with as few problems as possible. Orientation was a lot of fun, but it was long and kept me SOOO busy. Having never had convocation or choices or the date, I am definitely glad I got to go through it all sometime in my college career, and I think it probably resonates more as a senior than as a freshman.

Fast foward to today. I met with Prof. Strube, my honors advsor and basically layed out the clothing research that has taken up the last 4 months of my life, and thankfully he loved it! He even threw out a couple other ideas to tack on to make it not only bigger (it is already HUGE) but a lot more meaningful. It is so exciting, because not only is he already talking about publication, but we are trying to keep things moving along to get some good data by October. If that happens and it looks promising, we are going to submit it to 3 psychology confrences, and I might get to fly around and present my research to lots of psychologists! I know for sure one is in Chicago too, which makes me even more exicted. It is hard not to get ahead of myself; I still need to yield quality data, and before that I have to get offical approval for everything, which is the next step. I will make it through, it is just a question of when, and how soon I can have everything up and running. I also found out I am going to have access to the psychology subject pool, meaning if any of you need to do experiements for credit or extra credit for a psych class, you can do my experiment! I am going to try and get everything done this weekend, which is crazy ambitious, but I want to go to those confrences... grad schools would love me.
