I am super tired, but I will give a quick update so people know I havent abandoned this... Training isnt all that fun for me. I like my staff a lot, and they make it worth it overall for me, but I just get really bored and impatient at all the sessions.
Tonight I had a lot of fun at my dads. We drank and shared stories as usual. I also found out that my grandpa's cancer has spread a bunch, so rather than treat it, he is going to just let it go. I am not posting this because I am upset (the man is 83, he has led a good life) or because I am looking for sympathy, but because I found it so interesting that I learned about counciling skills today, but rather than using them on a resident I was using them on my own father. That was just a surreal experience for me. I wish I could sit and have the energy to type more, but I am just out of it. I promise after RA camp I will be back to an update every 2-3 days.
