This has been a very strange day today. I was sitting at the console on the bridge, goofing off, and an anonymous message popped up on the screen. It was very strange. No one should be able to get a message through our security like that. Even one of the crew wouldn't be able to get that message to this console anonymous like that. If the very idea wasn't crazy, I'd think the ship is trying to talk to me.
The strangest thing of all is the message itself! I can't decide if the person who sent it is insane, or if this is some kind of strange practical joke. Whichever it is, the message claims that my T-Rex toy is actually alive and terrorizing the ship. How ridiculous is that? A living toy? Weird...
Hmm... crazy talk... hacking into the bridge's computer... maybe I should ask River about this.
Well, something good came out of today too. I won a thousand credits competing against some of the other pilots in a Cheetah class short-ranged fighter simulator. I destroyed them all fairly easily. I haven't had that much fun in a good while, and the money will be good to help me get Zoe and I away from the ship sometime in the future.
