So, we get to Aurora and what happens? Mal immediately decides I've got some work to do setting up a private Cortex connection for River. He says it has to be set up so she can't send anything out. Does he have any idea how hard that is? The gorram connection must send stuff out to be able to get anything back. Besides, what's the point? I mean, if River wants her own connection, that's fine, but limiting it? If she really wants more access, I'm sure she can just hack into the ship's computer without much trouble.

Of course, I didn't bother explaining this to Mal. It would have probably taken longer to get him to understand than it took to do the job...
