Speaking as a man with actual academic degrees in the use of the English language, I occasionally have to bite my tongue when dealing with the administrators where I work.
But I'll confess, I've rarely bitten down as hard as when one of them last week informed us that we should not use the term "homesickness," favoring instead "separation anxiety issues."
As George Carlin once asked, how come the bullshit word always has more syllables?
