Not long till the big day now! Nearly all presents purchased, parents will get theirs when they return from Bermuda in the New Year but have send them a card.
Trip to Manchester went very well, father-in-law-to-be kept saying "Its like we'd never not been there" and "If you want to move back here..." - so I think I am generally approved of. Gave father-in-law a laptop which he was dead chuffed with, mother-in-law got him a new printer / scanner as he was having to work with ancient kit. But he is not an enormous fan of technology so lots of telephone calls about computers anticipated.
We helped put the Christmas tree up on Sunday and had Christmas dinner No 1.
Christmas dinner no 2 at work today, work christmas do on Friday. We're having Roast Beef on Christmas Day (probably Wellington) and have been planning our Christmas eve buffet.
We will put the tree up on Saturday afternoon after we've had the Chimney sweep round - after all, we don't want the big man in the red suit getting dirty!
Not going into town now until the New Year - apparently its lunatic out there, people are going mad with shopping fever.
Couple more bits to get for the missus but they involve a trip to the corner shop and the garden centre in the village so will do that Saturday.
