I'm going to ensure that the three posts that follow this one are not cycle related as I'm getting a bit bored of it, so you *must* be. If you're still there

It's a time thing unfortunately. The distance is greater on the east coast route (although much of it is amazing).
The JoGLE (or the LEJoG if you do the traditional south to north) is generally done down the west coast, just to save a week or so. Personally I fancy a north to south but I'll do it one day from the south coast from somewhere near Pevensey (it's a personal thing) and go up the east coast (by the easternmost bridging point of all major rivers) and then blast up the east coast all the way to John o' Groats. Basically, I'm just waiting for that lottery win so I can just keep riding every day until they put me in a box.
This ride is actually a test for the next really mad ride which will be Gibraltar to Moscow. No fucking idea when I'll get the money or time to do that but It *will* happen.
I need to get out of debt, own less stuff and just be free-er to get up and go. Felt like that on the ride to work this morning. Weather was cold, crisp and I felt fucking good, bike was great, passing everyone without effort (including a real "fuck you" section where I caught and blasted by a red light jumper at 28mph on the flat. Could have kept riding until York without much problem. Hell could have been with you guys by about now. I promise to give that a go next summer at least*.
I need to travel more.
