pitchfork festival
i'll be frank
diego and i were in chicago for the pitchfork festival this past weekend
did some really great things:
saw gza perform liquid swords with another member of the wu tang clan
was front row center for sonic youth playing daydream nation in it's entirety
saw grizzly bear, califone, professor murder, oxford collapse...
saw dan deacon until his set got shut off by the fire department for being too crowded
high fived dan deacon at his post pitchfork show on saturday
diego helped him set up his equipment
diego and dan set up a play date to play magic(sp?) (the card game) next time he's in town
got over $100 in posters
saw stephen malkmus play pavement songs
went to an insane warehouse party where cops kept showing up
partyed with the likes of voxtrot and girl talk
had my feet attacked by ants
and almost got mugged trying to catch a cab at 3 oclock in the morning by a man who himself had just been mugged
it was a fun time
i got a bike!!!!
