WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!!!
Recently, I watched this movie called "Mojuu" aka "Blind Beast." It was an old Japanese movie made in 1969 and it was supposed to be a horror movie. Yeah, well I knew that those weren't scary, but I saw what it was about and it kinda interested me. A blind sculptor and his mother kidnap a young model. Didn't seem like anybody could do much with that type of scenario, but yeah.
So anyway, I started watched it and yeah they kidnapped a young model, a blind sculptor and his mother. He's this creepy like guy, maybe in his 30s, and you see him chasing her in his studio. That place was sweet though. She be running in the dark and there's like gigantic ears along the walls, then there's arms and elbows, then boobs and legs. There's just like gigantic body part sculptures all over the fucking place. He's trying to invent this new genre of art through the sense of touch, since he's blind n' all. And yeah, he eventually subdues her and they have breakfast the next morning.
The mom's helpful n' all and she stops this chick from escaping for the first couple times until the girl gets smart. She starts screwing around with the sculptor and the mom'll get jealous and yeah she does that. The mom tries to sneak her out the next night, but Mr. Sculptor catches her and gets kindof pissed. Then there's more dialogue and the mom is explaining to the son about how she raised him and took care of him, and how the model doesn't love him etc, etc, bullshit. Yeah whatever, fuck you mom. He then kills that bitch.
After he does that, he realizes he's a monster and gets a tad bit crazier. He keeps the model as a lover to do his loving with. Oh and this whole time, the model narrates how she's feeling and what not and she says that he kept her for many days and made love to her repeatedly. She said that she's warmed up to him and developed a slight affection for him. So we find out she likes sex. Okay cool. It's kinda funny. This is where the crazy part starts. This is probably the last 40 minutes of the movie (it's a long movie), so she's really into this sculptor now. And she's really into touching. Obsessed actually. She starts to get blind, being enveloped in the constant darkness, and they just touch each other for days and days and days. It's like, what the hell? They don't even eat, they just touch each other. And it's like decent, I mean they don't show any nudity, but it's implying sex. After a while they start getting into some seriously wacked out shit though. Since they're so heavily reliant on touch, they start getting rougher with each other. They start with the whips. So you see them whipping each other and biting each other. They love it. A few days later they start beating each other with small objects (WEIRD). This is all progressive. And finally they get to cutting. They start cutting each other and it's "bliss." She asks him to stab her and twist the knife and she's like having an orgasm with that. Yeah whoo hoo cool. I DON'T GET IT!!!
Well, you see, all this sex for days and days without eating turned into sadomasochistic bliss, has made them unhealthy. They NOW realize that they are dying. And all that "bliss" was starting to suck their life away. In the end, she demands that he cuts her limbs off and then he does. This was supposed to be a horror movie, but it turned out to be a psycho love story and a complete waste of time. I give this movie 0.13/10.
