So there hasn't been much going on with me lately and it's almost a problem. In this past year, I haven't been able to change; break away from my bad habits. I've gotten sloppy, letting things pile up, putting more stress upon myself. My sleep schedule is fucked up haha. Going to bed at 9 to procrastinate, not getting on task until I wake up at 2. It's a bad deal all and all. Prioritizing is a necessary skill in life; something I'm missing. On the plus side, I think through all of this terrible reflection, I've gotten better in English; so writing papers is a little bit easier. While everyone else seems to be looking forward to college, I feel the opposite. I can only live for the present and dread the future. Anyone wanna go to Charm school with me?
Okay so.... Insights on Watchmen: Yeah, stupid, but I'm practicing my writing 'cause I have two papers to write, so it's a good warm-up.
*Spoiler alert*
Alright, so I watched Watchmen yesterday....
It was fantastic. I haven't been that impressed with a movie in a while. It went along with the recent trend where humanity is being evaluated (movies like the Invasion, The Day the Earth Stood Still, etc); like the whole idea that the world has gotten out of control, perverted and evil as a result of human nature and its imperfection. You know, they're like: Are humans worth saving? 'Cause it's a fucking crazy world out there. Shit goes down, and I don't like it.... So these higher powers will leave it to people to destroy themselves or take over what's already there and make better use of it. Anyway...
I loved the movie but most of the reviews from my peers were so negative! Some of the comments that people were making: the movie was kindof stupid; there was a lot of meaningful bullshit that they tried to put into it. And like the dream sequence was like so random and dumb. I hated the solution. Stuff like that.
For one thing, alright, if someone's going to be a masked vigilate, there's a reason behind it, a purpose. They're not going to seriously step out and fight crime looking ridiculous just for kicks; it's more meaningful than that. So I'd say the introspective bullshit was necessary. It shows why these people are doing this; that they want to take action because they've seen some serious shit. And the dream sequence was a good transitioning mechanism. It woke Nightowl up; brought him back to reality, that he has a job to do, or has the ability to make a difference so he'll do so. And then in the end... the solution... so yeah it makes sense how that happened and why they did that. The two characters, Adrien and Dr. Manhattan, couldn't relate to anyone, they couldn't empathize because, Adrien was the smartest human alive, so he's above the rest, and Dr. Manhattan was barely human anymore. Dr. Manhattan and Ozymandias could go there; unaffected by emotional bias, they could reach the immediate solution. The whole prevention of nuclear war goes back to the battle between logic and emotion. It was a logic-based solution. The sacrifice of millions was a necessary evil to prevent the annihilation of billions. And then Rorschach, though he was too awesome, had to be killed because he'd make everyone's sacrifice go to shit. Oh and there was pointless sex, but that makes movies movies, so it's all good. I thought it was a good movie. If you haven't seen it, I'd suggest to go see it.

1901 Oh, and congrats to Quest Crew on winning season 3 of ABDC. Though Beat Freaks were amazing too, it was unfortunate that they had to go against these guys 'cause they were too intense.
