ME: "Thank you for calling AAA this is Trevor speaking can I help you?"
Caller:"I need service and I need it now"
Me "I can help you with that, can I have your member number please?"
Caller" I don't have my card on me"
ME "I can look it up by your name..."
Now, first off I must not mention the ladies name but I will mention that she had a common name and when I typed in her name about 50-100 people with that name came up on my computer.
ME " Can you verify your mailing adress?"
Caller" Why do we always have to go through this everytime I call?"
The lady is starting to get impatient and continues
Caller "This is the precise reason that I cancelled my membership the last time, I am a member and I get your damned magazines every month."
ME "Mam, I'm trying to help you out here, there are about 50 - 100 people with your name, and I am scrolling to find you by your mailing address"
Caller "I'm going to cancel my membership again this is ridicilous, if you people had your shit together, a truck would have been on it's way already"
ME "Are you sure you don't have your card on you, it would be easier for me to look it up by your member ship number"
That comment was interupted by the fowl breath of frustration that hissed over my ear piece of which caused a nagging pain deep inside my ear canal.
Caller" Look, I just got back from North Conway and you expect me to carry that card with me? I'm trying to help out my son... this is ridiculous I want to talk to a manager NOW!"
So it is my fault that this fucking asshole doesn't put her membership card in her purse,wallet, or glove box. This happens everytime for that reason. This was unbelievable that she can't take responsibility for herself and has to blame me and other call center reps because she does not equip herself with the card. That is just fucking idiotic.
I get up and find my supervisor to get her to talk to her and hopefully find her because in this womans eyes I nor the company can do anything right.
As I was looking I spoke with another supervisor and mentioned to him the issue that I was having.
He gave me another option of where to find her in our database. I did that and finally found her, but by the time I had put my head set back on she had hung up.
Now I felt that I needed to redeem myself and AAA so I tried to call her so she can get her service that she so impatiently and rudely called for. The thing is, the phone number that she has in out data base does not work. It rang twice and all of a sudden a loud pitched buzzing deafened my right ear. I called again to see if I had misdialed. The same thing happened yet again.
I called the Tewksbury branch to see if they might have another phone number on their end so I could call this woman back. They had the same number.
Hey, I fucking tried and now this woman with all her magnificant ignorance is going to cancel her membership and give AAA a bad name when all that she had to do was have her card. It would have made things a lot easier and she would have gotten what she needed.
Eventhough she did curse me out, all I can do is laugh. I reported this to my supervisor she had a good chuckle out of it as well.
It is a card, it fits in a wallet I don't know what the fucking problem is with carrying it. She could have kept it in her vehicle if it was that much of a goddamned hassle. But no, it is probably at home in some drawer somewhere.
