Gettin ready for another long plane ride...
I made of list of things I need to get tomorrow before leaving for Thailand tomorrow...
Traveller's checks
fanny pack (I f'n hate that phrase, but I don't know what else to call it)
toilet paper (oh, yes...this is important)
Deet mosquito repellant (oh, yes...don't get malaria)
hat
Purell hand sanitizer
little shampoo bottles
Garlic plus B-12 tablets (supposed to keep the mosquitos away!)
copies of passport and travellers checks in bag and leave at home.
earphones for all the in-flight movies (impressive to remember that one, isn't it :-)
I take off on Thursday at 4pm.
14-16 hours in the air....ohmiGOD!!!
I think my first stop when I get off the plane will be the Hotel Atlanta in Bankok--lot's of fellow Californians, there, I'll bet ya....all busily writing in their journals.
On another note...
This is a bit of a heavy hearted trip for me...my girlfriend Danielle (of 3 years) and I decided to break up.
She is still my closest friend. She is the coolest person you could ever meet. Very pretty, too. She has an addictively fun personality. But who knows why these things sometimes don't work. It could be so many things.
I'm going to miss the hell out spending so much time with her.
It's a good thing, though. It doesn't feel like it now, but I'm sure we're doing the right thing.
Well, besides going to Thailand, having no job, breaking up, and moving apartments sometime in the near future...not much has changed.
Yep, boring as a country fence.
