I can't tell you how great it's been in the last few days...not going to work and all.

I had an interview (again) yesterday with one of the original producers of "America's Most Wanted".

It didn't start off well, as I was 30 minutes late, but I think that it ended up well. We got along.

I'm not that concerned about if it turns into a job offer or not because frankly, I want to get the fuck out of a town for a few days.

It's a win-win situation.

If I get it, it's gonna be many back to back nights on the Avid, and at least 30 percent of it is gonna be cutting, if not more.

He's got a cool new show coming out, and I'd be workin on that sucker and actually helping to shape the look and feel of it which sounds interesting.

But who knows with these things.

Danielle and I invited our good friends Kelly and Huey over for dinner tonight. They used to be our next door neighbor for 2 years, and recently bought a house in Glassell park.

They have had us over for dinner twice already, so it was definitely time to make an effort.

We went to Whole Foods to gather up the food.

We were standing in the fruit section looking for basil when I noticed Patricia Arquette from that show wherein she's a psychic called "Medium".

Then, I turned away and tried to let the woman have some privacy.

Danielle says out loud "Now, where is that BASIL...I don't see it anywhere!"

Patricia Arquette rides her cart up beside us and says, "It's right over here...I'll show you."

I shoot her a cutting glance, and say, "How did you KNOW EXACTLY where the basil would be, eh?" (implying that she was psychic like her character)

She laughed and said, "It's because I'm......I'm...........a regular at Whole Foods."

It was cool to see her...I really liked the last two episodes, and look forward to the show.

But even cooler than that was 2 months ago, at Whole Foods when Tricky said something nice to me.

I won't bore you with a second recounting, but Tricky was super nice during that encounter, and I was pretty starstruck, moreso than with Patricia Arquette to be sure.

God, I love Whole Foods....that place always cheers me up somehow, no matter what.

I saw my friends Speedy and Joy the other day. They got a new apartment 5 blocks away from me, which was nice, but what was REALLY nice was the 60 INCH TV in that fucker. Holy FUCK. That thing is awesome.

But back to Kelly and Huey...what a great dinner. It went great. Danielle did a good job cooking. We all drank 3 bottles of wine.

I have to say....not working and being able to enjoy it is a great thing. May we all experience more of it!!!!

Gary Meyer is insane.
