I've never really sought after a stereotype or a definition to define who I am. Back in my 'Goth' days I didn't define myself as 'Goth', but simply me doing what I wanted to do ... however, for the sake of simplicity, if forced to pigeonhole myself I'd say: "Well, yea. I'm into the Goth scene."
Recently I've found another definition that helps people to understand what I stand for without my having to go into some long diatribe about my life.
Girl: "You don't drink, eat meat, smoke or do drugs?! So, you're straight-edge then?"
Me: "I uh, I'm me ... I mean. Ok, yea. Though I'm not anti-sexuality!"
It was like a lightbulb of understanding went off in her head: "ooooohhhh, ok. Cool!"
I've discovered a handy lamens term to help those in need of simple terminology to better understand who I am. This is a good thing! Now, if I could somehow twist my uncanny passion for Scorpio-women into that straight-edge definition, I'd be good to go!
