Swan sat in Snake’s shop and had been for hours. It was unlike Snake to be late at all. The man did have kids so it was possible something happened. He debated calling but left it slide. Sitting in the office her was doodling on the pad of paper, Warriors symbols round and round. Eventually he got bored of that and decided to write. He was going to write Angel but she would be in later so he decided to write Mercy instead.
Hey!
I haven’t seen you in awhile. Are you still in the same place?
Plissken is late for work. Three hours late. Can you believe it? I’m wondering what is keeping him. If he isn’t here soon I’m heading back to the pier.
Do you have any plans for the 14th? I don’t yet. You know me and holidays involving gifts.
I’ll stop by in a few days if I don’t see you on the beach.
Swan.
He folded up the paper and took one of Plissken’s envelopes. Rembrandt was hanging around and he sent him to take it to Mercy. Swan knew the boy knew where she was. Then he went back to waiting. Plissken needed his ass wasted for being this late to his own job.
