Swan had spent the early morning with Snake and surprisingly it wasn't too bad. He seemed to be in a hospitible even happy mood. To Swan it was weird and he wrote it off as getting caught up in the holidays. They still had more then enough time to get to Manhattan when Snake dropped him off at the apartment. Aggie was just pulling on her coat when she heard his voice. Turning she smiled, her nose wrinkling up just a little as she did so. "Hey," She walked towards him, "I was just coming to find you."

You know how Plissken gets with crowds and traffic. Swan smiled but it was a little off, just a little nervous.

We can catch the train soon if we leave now.

Aggie just laughed softly, "I know what he's like. We really need to get you driving. It's not like I use my car much now so one of us should." Carefully she zipped up her coat before moving a little closer and kissing his cheek before taking his hand, "Ready when you are."

If he's on the road I'm not driving. I don't really want to walk either when he's driving.

Swan smiled and relaxed a little taking her hand so they can walk down to the station. He'd never really given a gift at Christmas and he was wondering when he should.

"I've been looking forward to this since you told me about it," Aggie was grinning brightly, her hand holding onto his as she pulled the door closed behind them and headed down the stairs.

"You have no idea, just being able to spand a day with you doing...fun stuff."

Swan paused still holding her hand.

I got a gift. He shrugged. Plissken said you would like it.

Snake had said it but only after Swan had pointed it out. Still he wanted to down play his involvement in getting it. Swan handed her the small white box.

She looked at him a little unsure before reaching for the box. She felt nervous, her last gift from Swan had been a vest, one she cherished and he'd never really paid for anything for her.

Carefully her fingers opened the box and slowly her eyes went wide and welled up a little. Smiling she looked up at him, "I-it's beautiful."

Swan shrugged looking down at the box. I figured I could trust your brother's opinion.

Swan really felt akward now.

Why don;t you put it on.

"You picked well."

Carefully she slipped the ring from the box and looked up at him, "Which finger did you get it for, I don't want to end up with it stuck." She hope that didn't sound like a stupid question.

Swan shrugged. Plissken sized it.

He looked down at her hand. Try the ring finger.

"My..." She looked at him for a moment before before looking back down at her hands and slowly, carefully, sliding it onto the finger.

Swan smiled. It fits.

He took her hand and started to walk again.

I'm glad you like it. I didn't want to have to take it back.

Aggie just nodded slowly, unsure of what had happened. "It does," she said finally.

Walking with him she watched him carefully, he seemed to have relaxed some now.

Swan took her hand in his. He felt better now that the gift was out of the way.

Have you ever been ice skating?

Aggie shook her head slowly, her eyes going back down to the ring on her finger and then back up to him. "Never."

Swan smiled and whispered.

At least I won't be the only one falling then.

He kissed her cheek and stepped onto the train that would take them to Manhattan.
