After he left Aggie at the platform Swan just sat on the train thinking. He was feeling down and discouraged. He had tried and failed. Failure wasn't something he dealt with well at all. He was tempted to ride the train all the way to the end of the tracks. Stations were clicking off down the line. He heard the one for Mercy's place and hesitated before standing. He needed to know how to deal with women. He hated that he was going to have to ask but he trusted Mercy and her opinion. She was his friend and had been through a lot of bad times. Swan left the train and headed for her place hoping she was home.
