For all values of: quit flitting around the internets and go back to work.
Last time my niece was here, she and I spent about an hour cleaning cat hair off my sofa cover. (You may recall that one of the fe-lions is named 'Loosefur'. The other, usually known as 'Curiosity's-going-to-kill-this-cat', actually sheds more, if that's possible.) Before my niece left, she and I carefully covered the sofa with a sheet to prevent having to clean the sofa again anytime soon.
Oh, yeah. Each cat has chosen a corner of the couch, and has very, very carefully pushed the sheet toward the middle so each has a sleeping-cat sized piece of - the sofa cover.
Planning a cross-country drive early this summer, northern route, with a guy I don't personally know. Sound crazy? I last did a cross-country drive 25 years or so ago, the southern route (I still have nightmares about the wasteland of northern Texas), with a beloved whom I managed not to _kill_ by the time the trip was over. It was a very close thing, though. (And yes, I'll have all the safety 'rigging' - phone calls and check-ins - in place just in case, but he's a same-community fen, so I'm probably safe as kittens.)
Who knew Bisquick had an expiration date? (Yes, I know: the corollary is Who cares?, but unlike the more domestically talented, I have never claimed to be a good cook. Bisquick is good for - you know, Bisquick things.)
Since it's still too early to start drinking, more coffee is in my immediate future.
I promise not to commit fanfic, just for today. (And yes, I've been having dreams. _You_ know what I'm talking about.)
a journey,
cats
