A friend from law school lost her license:  Indefinitely suspended.

I'm sad.  I really looked up to her.  And she worked so hard to get there.

And the little voice in the back of my head keeps asking whether this was an institutional failure (lawyering while black; solo practictioners have it much harder), or personal fallout.

Was there anything I could have done, if I'd known?
